{"type":"Collection","id":"kaguya_terrain_camera_monoscopic_uncontrolled_observations","stac_version":"1.0.0","description":"These data are radiometrically calibrated, single-band, grayscale mapping images of the lunar surface. All data in this collection were acquired by the Kaguya/SELENE Terrain Camera (TC) sensor operating in monoscopic observing mode. The data are processed from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Data ARchives and Transmission System (DARTS) archive, map projected, and converted to Cloud Optimized GeoTiffs (COGs) for efficient remote data access. These data are not photogrammetrically controlled and use NAIF SPICE kernels provided by JAXA. The nominal mission phase data sensor ephemerides use a priori pointing and the extended mission phase data sensor ephemerides use updated (smithed) kernels created by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. These data will not co-register with controlled data products and can have errors of more than 10 kilometers horizontally. Data are released using simple cylindrical (planetocentric positive East, center longitude 0, -180 - 180 longitude domain) or a pole-centered polar stereographic projection.
